The influences on my compositions come directly from the many genres of which I play an active role in. I have worked extensively as a jazz pianist, as well as a rock and roll keyboardist. These experiences, as well as my formal training in the study Western Classical music, Composition, and Jazz Performance inform my writing and integrate into a unique, creative voice. I believe my music to be accessible and engaging, yet modern and exploratory.
I have studied music at Northwestern University, the University of Miami, the University of Maryland, and the University of Pittsburgh. My teachers include: Mark Wilson, Mathew Rosenblum, Eric Moe, Scott Stinson, Amy Williams, Vince Maggio, Philip Strange, Doug Bickel, Whit Sidener, and Michael Kocour.
Scores for these and future projects are available directly upon request for a small fee. Please feel free to contact me for a score and recording, or if you would like to discuss a possible commission project. I am always interested in composing new pieces. Commission pricing is very open to discussion, and does not have to be paid in money; in my eyes, an excellent performance and recording is often payment enough.
