Changing your Pro Mouse Halo’s appearance
To start customizing your Mouse Halo, go to the Pro Mouse Preferences panel from the main menu, Appearance > Mouse Halo.
You can customize the Mouse Halo’s:
- Color
- Size
- Line thickness
- Line style
How do I Zoom?
Press and hold the Zoom key (the fn key is the default).
How do I Draw on my screen?
Press and hold the Draw key (the option key is the default).
You do not need to hold down your mouse button while drawing. Just simply hold down the Draw key and move your mouse.
How do I clear all drawings from the screen?
Press and hold the Clear Screen key (the command key is the default).
This will clear all drawings on the screen. Alternatively, from the Pro Mouse Preferences, you can automatically remove a drawing from the screen after a set amount of time.
How do I use Spotlight on my screen?
Press and hold the Spotlight key (the control key is the default).
Can I customize the shortcut keys?
Sure, go to the Pro Mouse Preferences panel to specify which key does what.
If you want to use your own custom key combination(s), you will need to add Pro Mouse to your Accessibility settings.

Can I customize the Zoom size?
Sure, go to Pro Mouse Preference > Appearance > Zoom Magnifier to specify the radius of the Zoom tool.
Can I customize the Spotlight feature?
Sure, go to Pro Mouse Preference > Appearance > Spotlight to change the radius of the visible Spotlight area and/or opacity of the masked off area.
Changing your Pro Mouse Drawing tool
To start customizing your Mouse Halo, go to the Pro Mouse Preferences panel from the main menu, Appearance > Drawing.
You can customize the Drawing’s:
- Color
- Line thickness
Can Pro Mouse start whenever I turn on my computer?
Yep, go to Pro Mouse Preference > Settings and enable the Start at login checkbox. Next time your computer starts, Pro Mouse should launch automatically.
Enabling Screen Recording for Zoom
When you first go to use Pro Mouse Zoom, you will be asked to enable Screen Recording. Pro Mouse does not store any data locally and/or remotely. The request by MacOS to enable Screen Recording is only to allow Pro Mouse to Zoom.
